About

This is part of me, Craig White. I live in Sydney with my wonderful wife and two adorable kids.

More than what I do, my interests lie in the sociological, ecological and psychological impact of our increasing digitisation and how our post industrial methods of management and education seem to be more appropriate for post industrial times…less so for tomorrow.

I’m anti-consumersim. And I’m a marketer. I’m a marketer who values the influence of quality, of choices made to last, not of accumulation as some sort of shortcut to happiness. Some of us genuinely invest in things that matter….most of us buy stuff that doesn’t.

  • My contention is that one should be educated about cognition, affection and conation in constant parallel with arts, science, maths, humanities (not necessarily in that order).
  • My contention is that ‘innovation’ is the breaking of rules, and that our current systems of education, employment and management aren’t geared to facilitate this. Yet, our future relies on it.
  • My contention is that we unlearn our creative intuition, instead learning to navigate a future through the patterns of the past. We constantly seek to find the map prior to taking action. This has lead to a state of data over-inclusion resulting in chronic over-thinking and under-doing.
  • My contention is that consumersim is a con that can’t (and shouldn’t) be sustained.

This is my way of being present, alive, awake to the world.

It’s my way of curating the countless dots in order that I may recombine them into ideas, insights and inspirations. It helps me to create and contribute to the world by cross-pollinating lateral elements and themes, and build anew.

Through this medium I hope to connect with like-minded souls and share the value.

I hope you feel the same.
